    Did you mean to say that carriers don't upcharge BESX? They do upcharge BES over BIS, usually $45 for BES, $30 for BIS...
    I took it to mean loss of carrier revenue on the software.

    While the use of BESX will have some impact on the carrier BES revenue, I don't think it will be that dramatic.

    IMHO, a large number of BESX users that stay with the BIS plan may not have gone to BES anyway. SMBs that would not jump to BES because of the software cost, may go to BESX, and if the users don't have easy access to the office, up their plan to a BES plan to get OTA activation.
