Disassembled a 9700 for the first time to diagnose a trackpad issue. the trackpad was stuck in the down position so i decided i'd tear it open and find out why it wasn't clicking. Turns i disected the trackpad and found that the dome shaped button that pops in and out was off centered from the contact it was supposed to be hitting and got stuck in the 'pressed in' position. hard to explain. i was able to put it back together and it works fairly well although i will be doing a warranty claim because its still not perfect.
funny thing i found a sticker on the main board that says AT&T Onyx. glad to see they used the code name on the actual product!
