"Jailbroken" is the key word here! Thats the risk you take when you jailbreak and/or root any IOS and/or Android device.

Which is why BlackBerry prevents (and that's the keyword) people from Rooting their phones.

The minute one roots a BlackBerry phone is the minute BlackBerry will completely fall into pieces.

The very fact that iPhones can be jailbroken at all makes them less secure than BlackBerry phones.

CSO: So Tom, I heard about some KeyRaider threat for iPhones, are we vulnerable.

CTO: Well Bill, Our company policy tells users they can not use a Jailbroken or Rooted device to access our email or network. Our EMM can detect any devices that have been Jailbroken and Rooted..... They'll be locked out with no access, and both you and I will be notified by the system that they have broken company policy. The user might be at risk, but all the company data in secured.

CSO: Glad to hear it... I taught when you guys got rid of those old BlackBerries that we would be in for all kinds of problems.

CTO: We looked at the problem for a while, and these iPhones are much more productive devices for users... and with proper IT policies we have been very successful so far. Besides, BlackBerry the company isn't very stable right now... hear they are already dumping their new OS and going full Android now

CSO: Och, that would have been bad for you guys if you had recommend their stuff over these iPhones

CTO: Yeah I'm glad we don't have anything to do with them anymore....

it's the user's fault not the OS's. The user actively disabled some security features of the OS. One cannot jailbrake or root a device remotely.

It's like saying: My computer got hacked because my root/admin password was "password" and it's the OS's fault.

Still won't stop people from buying them.

Average user wants apps not security.

Average user doesn't jailbreak their phone. So they have apps and security.

There is no difference between Jailbreaking an Apple product and simply giving out your user id and password...same outcome..... we live in a world of misinformed people ( rooting is not dangerous) and greedy ones ( I want free apps )... you reap what you sow... have no sympathy for the users who did this... and certainly cannot condemn Apple ( as much as I would like to for a whole host of other things they actually did) for this hack.. people really must be better informed than to simply say Iphones were hacked... same as saying Blackberry is going bankrupt...
