    I have an BB 8530 (yes I know it is old) I can get an upgrade in late March form my carrier Alltel. The problem is I can no longer backup my 3rd party apps! It will not connect to my phone. All of the old tricks I used to use to get it to connect no longer work! I had thought about send a donation to them (to get rid of the nag screen). If it will not work with this phone will it work with a new BB? I would love a 9930! However the newest BB phone Alltel offers is the 9850. Any ideas?

    I had this issue a few days ago with my 9930, I opened BBSAK and DM at the same time, got my phone connected to DM and tried to connect with BBSAK, it wouldn't connect at first but after a few tries clicking the reconnect button it finally connected, not sure why or how, but it did.

    You need to go in the task manager, and in the list of processes kill the one named BbDevMgr
