Guys, I saw this article this morning on N4BB : https://n4bb.com/blackberry-allegedl...ma-dm-exploit/

Sounds like a pretty convoluted way to gain access...I'm sure it has been or will be patched tho. Once something like this hits, someone has to test it.
Why didn't he just do it and proved hhis point? Since he rooted the Blackphone in 5 minutes no? Will only believe when he showw us proves of his claims.

This guy rooted the Black phone, then says BlackBerry is next like he's unstoppable. This is his moment?

No OS is secure from hacking.
I believe that BlackBerry will be hacked one day.
Don't want to be around when it happens.

No mention of legacy BlackBerry devices being vulnerable to this exploit. :)

This vulnerability is from the Carrier loaded management apps.

I would like to see BlackBerry's official reaction to this.
Link doesn't work
Ignore
I tried the link but it gave me a warning the site could not be trusted
it's n4bb. It's safe.
thats what the NSA wants you to beleive, hmmmm
For those who don't want to clock the N4BB link ,more info on the OMA DM vulnerability that the two researchers presented at BlackHat.
Hackers Can Control Your Phone Using a Tool That’s Already Built Into It
Not sure why the Z10 is the worst among BB10 devices.
First, this is a very obtuse way of gaining smartphone access. Lots of ifs, maybes, mights and a host of dumb carrier and end user mistakes. Whatever small exploit that could in theory exist has already been eliminated by a third party patch. Done.

The link is just fine. You can also find it on Berry Review!

Exactly! Control freak carriers interfering with the end user experience. They won't be happy till you've signed away your soul.

Come on Crackberry, please check this issue for us. We trust BB10 but this should be addressed properly. We had a good laugh with Blackphone, we can't afford to be laughed at with our beloved devices!

BBOS 6 already has been at the 2011 pwn2own event.
PlayBook OS 1.x has been successfully rooted. 2.0 has not been AFAIK.
Pre-release builds of BB10 had vulnerabilities too.

How come the Demo wasn't a BlackBerry?????????? I call BS. Demo the BlackBerry... seeing is believing

Could not agree more. Everyone knows Android and iOS are easily hackable. Yet they choose to demonstrate this "powerful" hack on an iDevice.
BlackBerry has no official statement yet.
I have a little info from a BlackBerry source but nothing to share here.
They are of course working with the researchers and I would expect them to fix any vulnerability before a full disclosure may be presented.
I don't know if my info are correct or up-to-date but if they are, then there is very little to worry about.

Maybe they're testing at the moment or are already working on a patch before they open their mouths....
? BlackBerry? I premdict the future's gonna be chenomenal! ?
This was discussed in a previous thread back in July.

Why doesn't this guy share his exploit like he did for blackphone
