Any news on Verizon getting a launch device? I just got 5 lumia 822s for my family but I have an upgrade in May. I would live to give BB10 a whirl.

Yes, If I'm no mistaken, there is a post about it some where in the forums.
I just registered for my limited edition BB10 developer device. On the registration form there is a location field which determines the radio of the device you are getting. Included in the options is 'US-Verizon'
Rest easy, big red will have BB10
I'm pretty sure it was confirmed on here *somewhere* a few weeks ago, or at least confirmed as much as AT&T, Sprint, T-Mo & anyone else has been confirmed....
The big question in MY mind is whether A) there will be a BB10 slider released, and B) if it will be CDMA?
About 6 months ago I believe, there were some posts from a member who said he was hired by Verizon specifically to promote BB10 once it's released on the carrier. That post said Verizon was going to be all in for BB10. Not sure we've heard much from him since - but that could be because he's working hard on his plans for launch day in 2 months? I believe we have also seen news that AT&T would be there on the USA launch date, I am not sure we have seen any commitments from Sprint. What I remember reading was that Sprint was unsure about BB10 and wanted to see it in action and how it compares with WP8 before they would commit to it. Would be happy to be proven wrong about that.
Confirmed by Verizon CMO
Verizon CMO confirms carrier will sell a BlackBerry 10 device at launch
Verizon wants BB10 to succeed, just to put some heat on Apple and give them a little more bargaining power. As it is Apple is top dog and they know it, and thus they have most of the power. Apple will be fine without Verizon or any other individual carrier. The same could not be said for any carrier without Apple right now.
Carriers would love to see a strong three or four platforms, this would give them the power to negotiate terms and fees better.
.
A rep at one of my local stores confirmed for me that they are gearing up for the release of BB10 :D Can't wait to walk right in and slap down some unsubsidized cash!
Totally OT:
MrRedBlinky, staring at your avatar just made me realize that if someone doesn't already make it, there might be a great untapped market for a black/red bikini with two of those Blackberry logos on it.. ;-)
Edit: Posted in the general discussion thread.
I totally agree with you here. I think RIM is missing out on a fantastic marketing opportunity ;)
