Bb10 question: When you peak into your hub will it make the led stop blinking?
Sometimes it bothers me when the led starts blinking for some meaningless facebook notification on my current phone. Does anyone know if when you peak into the hub will it stop the led from blinking?

Re: Bb10 question: When you peak into your hub will it make the led stop blinking?
good question! I imagine though that it'll stop blinking when you open the notification, or enter the hub completely.... for example if I open the sms app after ibe received a text, but don't open it... the led stops blinking, the splat dissapears but the unread icon still remains there, I'm guessing it'll be the same with bb10.....

Good question, I would imagine it will function the way amjass12 described it.
Keep in mind though, you will be able to customize the way certain applications notify you. e.g., if you don't want the LED to blink for facebook likes (or whatever), you can disable it. Customizeable notifications is one way that BB7 is still way ahead of iOS and Android. Add an application like BeBuzz with different colors for different notification events...and it's unreal. On my 9900, I used to know basically always which application was alerting me, and likely who the message was from based on the vibration pattern and the colour/pattern of the LED. I'm hoping BB10 will have the ability to set up notifications this way.Remember to RTFM.

Even the current Dev Alpha has Settings support for fairly fine-grained notification control.
Not only the various system features (e.g. phone calls, messages, BBM, reminders, etc) but also each individual app gets its own settings to control whether it supports audible notifications, vibrate, and the LED.
Now I'm not saying those are fully functional on the Dev Alpha, and we devs don't have all the APIs to take advantage of those yet (as far as I know), but the fact they're there suggests you'll have the ability to tell Facebook to shut up, if you want...

I really hope it DOES NOT. If I peek into the hub and then choose to ignore the notification for now, I want that LED to keep on blinking. Hopefully it's a user-defined option. Ideally what I'd like is to have the option for the LED to keep blinking until you actually "mark as read" the event that triggered the notification. So if I have 10 emails, and I read 9 of them, I want the LED to keep on blinking. I want different coloured LED flashes for different notifications (22.214.171.1246 has this now). I want all kinds of things, I don't know if I'll get them
It would also be nice to have the option to do just like you say, and single-tap to "dismiss all notifications", to basically "mark all as read" and kill the LED.--
