Been watching how "bb10" is used in sentences. Not at all sure what to think,
except it's better than both sex and sliced bread, combined. So...we are going
to have new phones and new tablets. Fine. Does this mean that QNX is gonna

BB10 is ​QNX.

RIM bought QNX to power their new devices for at least the next ten years. QNX isn't going anywhere. The core OS we have on the PlayBook will be the same, the UI will be created in Cascades (C++) as opposed to the Adobe AIR one on the PlayBook (expect for the browser, that will be pure HTML5 - HTML5 that will render html pages. Divide by zero....).

I like to think that:

Tablet OS 1.x = BB8
Tablet OS 2.x = BB9

And the BlackBerry 10 unifies the platform, a single UI for both tablets and phones.
