I just purchased a used BB, and then realized that it was originally used on Verizon service, I have Cingular, will my sim card work on this phone, or will I need to do something different to activate it? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!:)

What model is the phone. Unless it is a world phone (CDMA and GSM channels)
it will be a straight up CDMA phone and it wont work with AT&T, which is
a GSM carrier.
It's a RIM BB 7250 Smartphone PDA, the ad says Technology:CDMA.

Yeah its a CDMA phone which cannot be used on a GSM carrier.

Like said above the only models that Verizon offers with SIM (GSM) ability are the 8830 and the 9530 (Storm). Any others are CDMA only, not compatible with T-mobile, Cingular, or any other carrier using GSM. Hope you can return it (and that is an old model)
Also, the "World Edition" CDMA phones don't accept SIM cards from North America, so you would have to be using an international carrier's SIM
Your are right that the WE Curve 8330 doesn't accept US GSM Sims but the Storm will... you won't get 3G just EDGE but it will work... see the blog article on the front page...
