You have the option to "compose a PIN" message or send a BB messenger IM.
What is the compose a PIN? when you send one it does not show up in the BB messenger area, so is it just like an email BB to BB??

A PIN message just sends a message to the person via their PIN number, similar to them receiving an e-mail. It will show up in their messages folder.
BB Messenger messages will show up in the Messenger application and can be threaded, so you can keep track of the conversation.
Also, the person has to acecpt your contact request to be added to BBM. You don't need to have receive their approval to send a PIN message.
A pin message is like a text message.
BBM is instant messaging.
They both only work on BBs becuase of the PIN #.
