i have a vzw 8130. will bb maps show my location with out putting in my address? and will it follow me on a trip by it self?

I don't know that model, but unless you pay Verizon another $10/month, they will not turn on your gps. I purchased a separate little gps that does work with BBmaps.

First, you need to have a GPS puck for the GPS functions in BB Maps to work with Verizon.

Second, yes, once you activate GPS, it will automatically position istelf to wherever you are, and will follow your position.

I use BB maps with my blutooth gps the FREEDOM KEYCHAIN GPS 2000. It works perfectly with my BB. With this I don't use my data plan.

Yogi - don't you wind up using DATA to get the maps even though you have the gps2000? The puck only gets "free" gps location data from the satellites but then to correlate with maps, bbmaps must use data to grab the maps, I believe.
