hi i am a newbie to all this i bought a second hand bb and when t tried to enter the apps world this popped up a email address and then it asked for a password which i did not get of the seller when i emailed them he said he didn't have password that's why he sold it tried making a new account with bb but that didn't work any help will be good would a factory reset clear the bb id stored on the phone so i can enter a new id thanks in advance

yeah, a factory reset should get rid of the BBID

Yeah update the software and you should be able to create your own BBID.
