    Dunno, maybe to stop wide spread negativity from blowing over all the media outlets? Or maybe they are waiting on an official response on the situation from their sources?
    As far as this being a major thing: Security flaw discovered, update pushed. Sounds like they handled it fine.

    It was good on BB to discover the issue and patch it before any figured it out.
    Just think it's important for ppl to know about it to ensure they've updated, since now the cat is out of the bag.

    Also think it's important for CB to post all things BB related, not just the good news stories...

    I'm on 5.0.0.230. Is that old or new? Is it safe? If old how do I update BlackBerry world on my z10. I dont see any updates for it in BlackBerry world

    It's sounds pretty hard though you have to be on a compromised network. The attacker has to intercept you app request and replace it with malicious app that you have to give permission.. good thing it's not Google cause you give them permission for every thing but your first born. hahah

    On my Passport, BB World is on 5.1.0.83 so the bad version must be pretty old.
