i need urgen help on this please.

so i have a contract with virgin with a nokia 5800. its awfull. so today i bought a BB Curve. Another main reason i bought it .. For BB messenger. Now it turns out i cant use this because my data plan dosent support it.

i have rang virgin costumer services and they say there is no way of activating it, as i have 5 months left on my contract. and the only resolution would be to buy another a sim only deal. I am not doing that. i pay �20 a month .. i have all my texts and internet and minutes this sim.

So people, is there anyway i can use blackberry messenger whilst im on my contract? i appologise for spellings mistakes as im really panicking

There is no way around it, you need to add on a BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS). I am suprized your carrier is taking that position, it is additional revenue for them.

You will not have any internet, email, BBM or anything else data w/o BIS I am afraid much less as you say... BBM.
