I am looking to more from the Treo 650 on ATT to a Curve, but now that I saw the upcoming release of the Bold I am holding off. I originally thought of upgrading to the Bold, but after seeing an estimated $300 price with 2 year agreement, that seems to be a bit more that I would LIKE to spend. Although I know you are getting a lot more phone. However, anyone think the price of the Curve will drop even more, making it an even better deal? I know they are already selling for $99 with 2 year agreement, so if it will be even less after the Bold release that would be the deal of the century.

I dont think they will charge 300 and a 2 year. I think its 300-350 for the phoen without strings attached.

    Hard to say, its possible.
The 8830 World Edition is still $649.99 CDN. It wasnt affected by the release of the 8330 Curve..

To the best of my knowledge after much research, $300 is for sure a contract price. The phone itself with no strings will run you upwards of $600. Guess it just depends on how badly you want it.

The Curve is more than that without a contract... The Bold with no contract will likely be closing in on $600. As a comparison, the At&t Tilt is the closest in features to the upcoming Bold, and it sells for $549 with no contract.

A non-contract Bold for $300-350 at launch is pretty much impossible.

    yes indeed
you always get reamed if you buy the phone w/o a contract or an upgrade, im thinking it will be $600 or more
of course when i broke my pearl i went to the tmo store they offered me a partial upgrade after it had been only a year
so my curve cost me $300 instead of a full upgrade price of $250 or the full retail price of $500

I think the curve will come down. ATT is really kicking it into high gear in trying to promote the Curve now.
