    Default battery use b/n models?

ran a search and didnt find anything.

can one use, for example, the battery from a pearl flip in a curve and other such swaps? or are the batteries model-specific?

Some of the batteries are used in specific models, and some are shared by more than 1. The Pearl and Curve batteries are not compatible with each other.

I apologize, I noticed you noted the flip, not the candy bar Pearl. I woule search and query the battery model #.

The pearl and curve run different batteries. But yet the flip and other pearls are the same. Its a C-M2 battery. The curve can run 8700 batteries as well as other models. Its a C-S2 battery. Take a look here to help you decide. http://shop.crackberry.com/blackberry-batteries.htm
