Oh how helpful you are this morning Ex

You can change a few things that give you a little more batt life but I suggest going w/ Exelant & getting an extended battery, or getting an xtra battery, and/or a car charger.
You can change your settings in options>screen/keyboard. Set your backlight timer to as short as possible or off & set your brightness to a lower level. Also check your profiles so that you don't have your phone vibrate. And always close out all apps so they're not constantly running.
I don't know to what degree these things help but its bound to help some.
