I read The Independent newspaper via the app available in the Blackberry World. For our American cousins, this is a UK newspaper.

Apart from being a very old and rubbish Android port I'm surprised to see that Blackberry are playing for advertising space on the app.

The ever more surprising thing it is an ad for the old Bold series and goes to this link:

I know legacy devices are still available but surely they should be pushing the new BB10 phones as they are awesome? I see what you lot mean now when you complain about BB's weird advertising strategy!

Advertising is usually paired to your search history, so anything you look up can link various advertisements to whatever page you're looking at.

Debatable, but if true... so Blackberry have paid for access somehow to someone and come up with targeted advertising for ancient phones. What a joke and a waste of their time and money.

I just downloaded the app for the first time, the bold ad came up.
App doesn't seem to be an android port to me, it's not bad.
