    You can take a picture of yourself, edit it on your computer using gimp, or another editing program, and then copy it to your memory card, select it as your display picture.

    There's also Fancy Characters - Social BlackBerry Apps - Crackberry BlackBerry Apps Store if you really need more symbols.
