This is how I think it works. Your carrier pushes to your device some common apps. For me (on rogers) this included facebook (yes!), myspace, flickr, aim, msn messenger, googletalk and docs to go. Hope you enjoy your new phone.
its just a version of the software usually when a new software or os "Operating System" comes out you recieve a message and you can choose to upload it I have a storm and there are a lot of os floating around such as .75 .76 .83 but the only offical one is .75 that means my carrier verizon installs it on your phone but you will often find that os's are leaked and many of the crackberry community take the risk and install it on their phones and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't but that will be up to you whenever you get your bb! any other questions? lol I'll answer them best I can if you don't want to ask it out loud send me a private message lol and I'll help you out as much as I can
