    So the App error 523 showed up on my bold a couple of days ago. I've read up on what I can do but all the solutions are using a PC...I'm on a MAC so I can't restore using the bb desktop. I've removed the battery, I've done a reset using the alt, shift, del keys....and nothing helps. It's locked up.

    Does anyone out there know of a solution for me using a MAC? I really need to get this fixed.

    Do you have access to a PC (friend, family, work). You will need
    Desktop Manager and your Handheld Operating System to fix this
    and neither are MAC compatible.

    As AG said, you will need a computer that runs windows. You might be able to take it to your carrier and get them to fix it.
