I was just wondering if which app store works better for you in terms of getting software updates on downloaded apps . I have Snap on my phone and I'm thinking when we get the Amazon app store come 10.3/10.3.1, I might just delete it since Snap immediately provides software updates on the apps.

My question is, is it the same thing on Amazon's app store as well? How are the apps compared to the ones you get on Snap?

I use both. Snap is better for updates for me. Good time to get in on amazon since it will be coming pre-installed at a later date. Plus they give out free apps all the time

I don't want too many appstores on my home screen, less clutter and more memory. I also find it redundant to have two app stores for Android Apps.

Redundant? Buddy... Ya gotta do what ya gotta do. Just stuff em in a folder somewhere. 10.3 has endless folders so clutter really isn't an issue

It very very simple. Search crackberry for the snap thread and follow the instructions

I have both. Use amazon only for free apps of day and their coins thing. Other than that, everything else is from Snap. I'd rather support that.

Hey, maybe if a significant amount of people use Snap over amazon, that might make amazon release an amazon app store for BlackBerry 10, meaning native.

I read somewhere here in the forums that the Amazon App store might be native but I haven't seen the source of that yet. It would be great if that were true

I use both 1Mobile and Amazon. Have never used Snap. 1Mobile definately has more and better quality apps and it notifies and updates well, but since the latest update to the 1Mobile app, the app has been kind of glitchy.

I use Snap to update. One minor issue with Snap is that the list of apps with available updates does not get refreshed after an app is updated. The list is only initialized once at start time.

A good idea is to always keep back up APKs when you update. Snap can be set to save APKs after installation on sd card. Recently I upgraded Wells Fargo banking app and the latest version requires Google Play service. I ended up deleting and restoring from older APK that had no explicit dependency on Google Play service.
