I installed win7 on my mac since i didn't have a copy of windows anywhere.. the blackberry is really the only thing i can imagine using it for.. maybe some testing.. anyway.. i tried with DM and Loader.exe and it keeps hanging on the ROM communications.. anyone have this problem? I'm not entirely sure if it's a win7 issue or a win7/mac issue..so i thought i'd try the general forum first.

It probably is an issue with the mac ... because i have windows 7 rc1 and i update my blackberry without any issues..

hmm.. it may actually be parallels.. i did a good search (btw, google searching crackberry is easier than using crackberry's search-odd) and i saw one person had the same problem and then no issue using vmware.. gah..

Ah... I heard from many that using bootcamp is much better then using parallels .. better device support/recognition

ah.. i see what's going on.. the boot rom reboots the bb.. and the mac is picking it up first.. probably causing issues.. i need to disable the mac from grabbing the usb connection.

is there a way for you to boot solely into windows, rather then through mac?

u have to go to advanced power settings and disable usb suspend mode or usb sleep. after that it works like a charm in win 7 on mac as well.
