    Question Anyone heard of GoCellular.ca?

I found this canadian website that sells cell phone accessories and I'm wondering if anyone has ever heard of them before and if so have you used them or heard anything about them? They have some pretty good prices and to be located in Canada is a huge plus.

I'll let you know how it works out. I just ordered a nice red leather case for my wife's Curve 8330. First impressions are good...it's a nicely arranged, slick website with excellent (SSL) security for transactions.

Excellent. Thanks for the feedback. I feel more comfortable with my purchase now. They have the cheapest price on the cradle that I've seen so I ordered that and the incipio feather case.

    quick update about GoCellular

When I placed my order and received the confirmation email it did not come with an order #. I decided to send an email to service@gocellular.ca this morning inquiring about the lack of an order # and at 12:57pm (their customer service open at 1pm btw), which is 2 hours after I sent my initial emai, I received a reply from Matthew Page informing me of my order number and insuring my order would be available for shipping by the end of the week.

    Great service so far!

I received the item I ordered in a relatively timely fashion. The communication was good and the item, a case for my wife's Curve 8330, was exactly as pictured and properly packed.

The scheduled delivery date of my charge docks was 3 days ago and I still haven't received them and the CanadaPost tracking is an absolute joke.

How long did it take for your package to get to Ottawa?

I have ordered 2 trackballs, chargers, cases, and a few other things. They are very good in my opinion.

If the item can be taken out of the packaging and put in a Canada Post bubble envelope to save shipping costs, they will do so. This is explained on thier website and you can tell them not to (for a gift for example). I think I paid two bucks shipping on my last item.

They also will PHONE you and ask if you want everything shipped at once (in case of back order) or shipped individually.

This week I ordered an Otterbox defender, charging cradle, both for my 9700, and two Curve leather cases for my boss.

The leather belt holsters are nice if you order the original equipment leather ones from RIM, about 20 bucks CAN. They also sell the cheesy ones you get in the box with the phone for less money but the difference is night and day.

I'm very happy with them so far.

Being in the U.S. I dont know why you would really. One of the things I enjoy when I come down there is the selection of stores and products compared to us up here with 1/10 the pop.

When the CAD buck was at 0.70cents I could see a huge savings for you folks down there, but at par, why bother?

We Canadians NEED Canadian stores because we get hosed large on brokerage fee's, duties, etc. I just ordered about a grand worth of car audio and I expect it will be about $1500.00 by the time I get it. So why did I do it? Selection...I just cannot get some of the stuff I wanted up here.

Anyway, to reiterate, I am happy with gocellular.

The website also tells you when they can get the item if its not in stock, BEFORE you order. I like that a lot.

The 2 cases for my boss's kids said "within 7 days" so I expect another 5 days on top of that because I requested the cheapest snail mail possible
after they remove any packaging for me.

    Yeah I knew about that.

I ended up getting an email from Matt at Go and he informed me my case was pushed backed to feb and I could get another case if I wanted. Plus he is upgrading my shipping to express for free. He also noticed my chargers haven't been delivered and is filing a claim with canada post since he said they have been experiencing delays lately.

Excellent customer service from Matt Page at GoCellular!!

    New update:

CanadaPost has FINALLY updated their site and my charge pods were processed at the Mississauga facility at 12:40 this morning. My assumption is they will be delivered today!!!!

Canada Posts tracking system for general ground shipping is essentially useless since you have no way of know how far along your order is once the electronic order has been submitted! Quite frustrating.

I have found that Canada Post really blows for tracking. UPS for example gives you fantastic updates, but Canada Post updates like 2 or 3 times, "order received....delivered" of course they forget about about the 3000 mile difference from coast to coast.

Anyway, Im glad gocellular didnt make a liar out of me because I really have had good service from them.

The service has been unbelieveable. I am getting a refund on my shipping, the case mate barely there for the price of the incipio feather ($19.99 instead of $21.99), and free Xpress shipping. I cannot complain at all they have treated me VERY well!

I Bought a defender for my 9700 from them, except for the poor Canada Post delivery it was an awesome transaction. Matthew treated my concerns with speed, assuring me he would make sure I was satisfied. After 10 days, Canada Post delivered, (200 miles from Richmond means I could have rode my horse down there, bought the case, rode home and still beat ExpressPost) Matthew immediately refunded the shipping and I love the case...yipee woot woot

I received my charge docks for mine and my g/fs 9700 on friday. perfect working order and they did in fact remove the plastic packaging so it would fit into my mail box. Also my Case Mare Barely There case was shipped on Tuesday with free Xpress Post shipping and has been delivered today, 1 full day ahead of schedule. This has definitely been an incredible experience using GoCellular. I cannot complain at all.

    Default a great experience

upon reading the feedback from this forum thread, along with the feedback found on this thread:

    redflagdeals.com/deals/main.php/ratings/vendor_info/GoCellular.ca
(just add the "http" and "www" to the link above - i can't add links as i don't have 10 posts yet)

i decided to buy some accessories for a phone i recently bought for my girlfriend for christmas.

i bought 2 leather cases, 2 cigarette lighter chargers, 2 usb cables, and a 1gb microSD card from them. I was buying these accessories for a motorola razr2 v9x and genuine oem parts for a 2 year old phone are hard to find at discounted prices in canada - but they had them. Their prices were the best i could find, and in researching for prices i found lots of online retailers in the states to be questionable in terms of whether or not they advertise oem parts, but ship you 3rd party parts. Needless to say I received nothing but genuine motorola parts.

I also ordered an armband case with this order for my girlfriend to wear her phone while jogging, but it turned out that the case was discontinued. However, I received a personal email updating me on the situation and they even tried looking around at other distributors for me! I received an order adjustment/refund for the discontinued case and they shipped out the remaining order quickly and without hassle.

I liked their website layout and design - nice big pictures of the merchandise showing you manufacturer's logos and part numbers...i like to know what they're actually selling and what i'm getting.

Their office is close to me (i live in BC), so shipping was quick, and their shipping options and prices were good as well - no price gouging.

I've been buying and selling goods online for over 10 years and it's hard to find benchmark places like newegg in canada which seem to offer the best of all worlds - selection, price, reliability, and service....but my experience with gocellular seems to have had all of those traits.

My only complaint was that i didn't receive an automated email with a copy of my order/invoice upon order completion; but they were also in transition of updating their account/order system so...

I know where i'll be shopping for any cell accessories in the future.
