I worry about nothing. No one can add a single hour to his or her life by worrying. I plan and execute. If something falls outside the span of my control, then that is the purpose for contingency planning.
March of the Smartphones: Handspring Visor with Digital Link > Handspring Treo 600 > Sprint PPC 6700 > Palm Centro > Blackberry Tour 9630 > Blackberry Bold 9650 > Blackberry Torch 9850 > Palm Treo 755p > Blackberry Bold 9930

What will happen will happen.
I believe that RIM is being viewed in the worst possible light, a situation they helped bring on themselves with some disastrous execution errors in 2010-11. I don't agree with the Morgan Stanley analyst who foresees 90% staff reductions and continued revenue declines, but I do understand how someone can reach that conclusion.
They seem to be on the right track now, and I'm prepared to hold my stock through the BB10 introduction. - 06-25-2012, 01:16 PM #28
I'm concerned as I really want BB to get better and better. I have to wonder if these analysts have seen a demonstration of BBX yet. BBX is why I have faith in RIM so I believe that these doubters haven't seen much.

I'm not worried. If they die, my life doesn't die with the company. If they die their will most likely be another company to emerge and provide competition as well.
The world will go on with or without RIM. The same goes for Google and Apple. My life will go on with or without these companies in it. - 06-25-2012, 01:22 PM #30

Not worried. Things look equally bad for Nokia, HTC and others. Not to mention Sprint - might as well start the vigil on that one too...

I'm not worried either. I feel that the company's restructuring will make it stronger. But if RIM does go by the wayside, I'm going to enjoy Blackberry's pop-like-culture of devices for now.

Anyone else not worried about RIM dieing? Did you miss out the 't' - Anyone else not worried about RIM dieting?
No, not worried about that. If we were talking about them dying on the other hand...
(sorry, couldn't resist

Worry? Not something I worry about. Being able to stay in touch with loved ones? I'll adjust.
Actually, I'm lying...the only thing I worry about is being able to find as many BB devices as I can afford to buy before they cease to exist so that I can continue to use them....scoop up those white Bolds I've been lusting after...
And I would. Until they no longer work.Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for thou art crunchy, and good with ketchup
Isn't it amusing how people who claim to not enjoy CB at all simply can't stay away????
It's because it's CRACKBERRY, the BEST BB site....

Not me! They are going through a rough point and it can go either way but at the same time what company hasn't? Plus even if the company dies out they still have major assets and I don't think the whole thing is just going to disappear.
If anything it will open the door for something all new to come out and if that happens all the better!8700, Bold 9000, Bold 9700, Torch 9860, Z10! No case FTW!!! - 06-25-2012, 03:53 PM

If I may paraphrase: Rumors of RIM's demise have been greatly exaggerated!
"It doesn't mean that much to me to mean that much to you" - 06-25-2012, 06:23 PM #44
Not worried. RIM will not go under. The company is leading in several markets around the world. Just because they are not number one in the United States doesn't mean they have no value.
They will probably scale back, become more expensive, and then become the most desired phone among the ignorant masses because they are expensive.
How long can Apple keep pushing out their ONE model and keep their base happy?
In addition, QNX is purported to be one of the best platforms going forward as most cars are going to be equiped with it. BlackBerry and RIM hold the key and have strategically placed themselves going forward.
Que sera, sera, whatever will be, will be.

I am not worried at all look at all of the subscribers Rim still has that alone tell a different story. What is happening to Rim is poor business decisions and living off of their name. With that said they have a excellent chance of surviving. Don't get hung up on all the hype look at the facts and figures along with the new BB10 I firmly believe they have a great chance of being a major player in the smart phone market. Think Positive!!!!!

This is becoming ridicules-RIM isn't dead-surly not dying, enough with the negative and bashing a company... by throwing out other platforms on here...this is CB nation not android central or Imore ect-each their own so be it-RIM needs our support as their customers not another enemy.. enough said...

I'm not worried. I feel that BB10 will be on the market come or high water. If there is a splitting of assets, the BB10 handset will be available.
I don't own a mobile phone yet and I am waiting til BB10 hits the market. I'm not a MS Windows (a.k.a Reboot) fan and will not own one(computer or phone) I think the Apple is all hype with their buzillion apps. I know guys with the iPhone and they love it, but I'm just not an Apple fan.
I do own a Playbook and don't go too far without it. I need a BB10 phone to attach to it! My debate will be keyboard or no keyboard.
October is only a few months away. Come on BB10.Sent from my Slate and Chisel
