Have a curve for sprint and i mostly use it for internet and IM. the battery life is very short not even a day sometimes. i have all the settings on battery save, any ideas?/

I've heard that there could be apps running in the backgrounf and u have to close them so they don't drain the battery

It's also running on the 3g network, which could be a good reason for the battery drain. IM is constantly running and internet, depending on the pages can decrease your battery life.
I suggest turning down your back light. Options --> Screen/Keyboard
If you consider to buy another battery try the seidio. A little bit pricy but worth the cost.
