    Hello

I purchased a Passport yesterday in Beijing and have tried installing some of the free VPN apps. VPN Shield is asking me to confirm a system request.

I have Astril installed on my computer and have tried setting it up manually on my Passport but it wouldn't connect. The Astril APK wouldn't install via Chrome either.

I have Snap installed but can't sign in because China blocks all of Googles services.

    Any help would be great.

    Cheers

    I found the answer!!!

I've been using PureVPN for almost a year now. It's a paid service but they do support BlackBerry devices.

What's wrong with the stock one? Is it not a VPN?

Yes but all the vpn types are commercial based. Corporately you should be fine but lots of consumer vpn types are not supported.

At least this is what I have read on these forums.

OP, what do you need VPN for that can't be accomplished with BlackBerry link? I have link running at home and can access all of my content on my NAS. See the link below: http://helpblog.blackberry.com/2013/...ackberry-link/

Most obvious is routing all data traffic through the IP. Can't use Link as VPN, just file access.

VPNme has worked great for me as well. After trying it for a month, I purchased the year subscription.
