i am not yet a bb owner but i am pondering buying my friends 8703e. we both use sprint as our carrier. are there any issues i should be aware of? is it as simple as calling sprint and getting the bb and bis service added to my account?

It should be very simple. I bought a used o2 Pearl and signed up to o2 but had to get the PIN released from the previous owners account first.
I bought a used htc on ebay back when I was with sprint and got it activated without a problem...actually they even covered it under their insurance plan 3 weeks later when I broke the screen.
