For the past several months I've been training myself to type with my right thumb in portrait mode on my Torch. I've started using my left hand to hold the hand rail in the stairway and stuff like that. I want those things to be comfortable when the 10 is out so I can be ready for right thumbing everything on my phone.

I've been spelunking under the couch cushions for spare change to be ready for the big buy. Not only do a plan to get the 10 (off contract) but, I plan to get a Surface Pro as soon as I can (unless a 10" PlayBook is announced, in which case I'll wait for that).

What else can I do to be ready?

I've been doing the same thing with my Torch as well. Trying to get used to one hand typing. I'm positive it will be smoother with BB10. Trying to use my upgrade for it, so AT&T needs to hurry with a release date.

I've heard on this site that the guy who heads bb10's design team is left-handed; moreover, I've heard that there are no real use issues for left handed people and that the design team has considered this.

Alas no. I've not found anyone taking pre-orders here in the USA. I plan to buy direct from Verizon but, I'll get it from wherever I can get it quickly.
