Currently using the 8700g on T-Mobile. My wife uses an unlocked LG. We are both due for an upgrade in Dec.

We looked around the store and she was impressed with the 8520. With the optical tracking it might be the phone to get. Either that or the 8900.

Which would be the better phone?

the 8900 is the better BB out of the 2 without a doubt!

the 8520 is a very good/solid BB but for a beginner or as a backup device, your better off going with the 8900....

I see no reason to not go for the 8900

Or you can wait it out for a bit since the Onyx will drop before the end of the year.

Since I don't qualify until December then the Onyx does look like a good choice. I'll see what the price is when it comes out.
