hey i was wondering if anyone knew if i could put just texting on my blackberry. i mean i would only be able to text people not call them on my blackberry pearl. anyone know if thats possible? i really dont think i can because you have to have a smartphone plan in order to run a blackberry but if its possible message me back.

you do need a mail and net plan, for texting a text plan, but you do not need a voice plan...keep in mind you won't be able to mms, (no pix messaging) until sometime after vzw gives chad the dirt nap.

I can't answer that question, I just know that alltel pearls do NOT have mms..
Logic like this is probably why verizon is taking them over...Maybe switch to vzw, you could probably do it pretty easy now, or soon, there should be a WHOLE bunch of pearls available around a week from now....
