If you haven't done a backup at any time on your computer, then you're pretty much SOL. :/

Backups are a must. I do one at least once a week.

ouch. As a service to everyone here I have to post this:
So far I've been able to backup contacts, calendar, pictures, call logs and texts over the air for free using the free bestbuy mobileiq app. it's on miqlive.com or by searching for miq on getjar.com. Basically the only app that I haven't been able to find a backup solution for yet is the Memopad. So I may go with a commercial backup app or migrate all my notes to Evernote, since that's what Evernote is. Basically Google Docs meets notepad.

There are other backup apps on getjar.com that I haven't tested yet.
