    RIM,

All I want for Christmas this year is a release date for the Magnum in 2011. I want a trackpad toting Bold 9000 form factor running OS6 with a high resolution touch screen. An upgraded camera for media would be a nice touch. This is a form factor that nearly every Blackberry user loved and if you're going to update/upgrade/re-release every other form factor you've created, please please please create an updated device from a provenly successful form factor. If you create this...it will sell. I promise. Thanks.

There's been a couple petitions made here, but it seems they haven't got anywhere...

The one above looks to be already sent in http://forums.crackberry.com/f83/pet...-s-ceo-548080/

It had a whopping 500 signatures it claims. That's .01% of CrackBerry! The other one isn't any better. It seems these threads claiming everyone wants a massive phone in todays world is BS...

Well, it is not toally BS as you state. Look at most of the Android based phones, they are large to hold a large screen. We see iPad abd Playbook going larger so large is not the issue. The issue is the bulk of people are not hard core like crackberry members. As I recall cell phones kept getting smaller and smaller until the smartphone came around and the phones are indeed getting bigger again for the ability to have a large touch screen.

A Bold 9000 style phone is still smaller than an iPhone, and I hear the iPhone is selling well. So too is the Motorola Droid X. I think you may not like a large phone, and that is okay, but I know enough people who still like the Bold 9000 and don't want a new phone because, "the new phones are so small". That is from actual people who are not phone geeks nor crackberry members.

RIM should make different form factors for the different user-base and what they will buy.
