Is there any way to upload your own album art in the music player?

Yes- you have to place the album art picture in the same folder with the album music files and the picture file must be called "folder.jpg".
There's also an app that you can use to download album artwork: Cover Grabber for BlackBerry 10 - Missing album cover art? You need this | CrackBerry.com

So, I can use my own band's cover art and attach it to our songs this way?

If you mean on your Blackberry - sure! If you want to give out your music to others, then it's better to find a way to put the picture directly inside the music files (with a program like iTunes, for example).

If you put or have music on a PC, you can use the PC's media player to find and add the album art. Then just copy the album back from your PC (My Documents, Music) copy & paste to devices SD card via USB cable.
