How to delete my address book on the BB 8110?

To delete the contents of your Address Book, connect to Desktop Manager and select Backup and Restore, then Advanced. You'll see all the databases in the device listed in a window on the right. Select the Address Book, and click the Clear button at the bottom of the screen. That will delete the contents of the database. You can't remove the Address Book functionality.
how do i delete all contacts in the 8310 WITHOUT using desktop manager? (i have a mac)
i want to delete all because i cannot get the PocketMac software to do a "overwrite device" sync from my Address Book to my blackberry. if you have a resolution for this issue that does not involve deleting all contacts, that'd be helpful as well.
(and yes, i've also tried missing sync and it crashed everytime i tried to open up the application)
