Why can't I add my self to bbm on my z10? Just to check if my status updates and everything is working..?

I would guess for the same reason you can't call yourself of the same phone. What is it you want to know? If your not sure BBM is working, join a group and see if the messages get through.

I would like to add my self to my bbm list like I did with my 9900.. but when I send the request nothing happens?

You can see if your status has been updated if you go to your profile and click on updates.

I want to do this as well, used to on my 9900! Used to BBM myself reminder notes for things, since I use BBM so much I would always see the reminder at the top of my list of open chats. Sucks that I can't find a way to do this now. I know there is Remember but I liked my BBM way, much quicker to send a quick note to myself.

I can but two or three quick words in bbm is just handier for me.

BB has to fix this (one of many problems I have found with my 36 hour old Q10) I found BBM to myself was a great way to send myself reminders, shopping lists, song names to look up later, etc.

That's why BlackBerry finally decided to make it available on other platforms so that people don't get so desperate that they are adding themselves... just kidding..

I second that emotion. I miss the ability to add myself and write notes there. BBM is always opened for me so it's very worthwhile.

I don't use remember because it's useless to me. I have bbm open all the time as an active frame so addition get myself on bbm would be more convenient

The one thing I dislike about Remember is its active frame. I wish it would display the last note you were on, instead of just showing a generic icon/screen. On Android I have a widget with that capability and it's such a time saver. I make a list/reminder/note and boom, it's displayed on my home screen. All I have to do is unlock my phone and I can see it. The BB10 way isn't bad, it just adds one extra step.
