    I'm starting to like more and more the new directions that BlackBerry is going. It will be many more partnerships comings the next while.

    Patrick is the billionaire physician who founded Nantech, the co. that BlackBerry took a minority stake in.

    Zoom is evidently the technology behind the new bbm meetings function. As OP pointed out above, that very same Patrick is a key investor for Zoom.

    It will be interesting to see what the partnership actually is. Zoom is a video conferencing company that has some capabilities to link to desktop and mobile platforms. It was sort of a work in progress if I remember correctly.
