So I am currently sporrting the torch 9810. Good phone but I like the all touch screen aspect on the 9860. The slide out keyboard on the 9810 doesnt seem like it will hold up. I am curious on some opinions on wether to buy a 9860 or should I wait for the new bbx super devices to come out?

It depends how long you want to wait. You probably won't see the BB10 devices until this time next year, based on the latest news RIM gave to investors.

In case you haven't heard BBX is no more. A lawsuit has prevented RIM from using that name. Also, there have been numerous reports stating that the chip set needed for BB 10 has been delayed. The new BB 10 super phones will not arrive as early reports stated. It looks like it will be much later in 2012 before we see anything from RIM. Try a 9860 and see how you like it.

I would wait until BB 10. The 9810 is fast enough to run anything on the market, and the keyboard will hold up. If it is doing everything you want, then there is no need to upgrade.

we are talking about Blackberry's they are good quality products.
I have yet to have a customer come in with a
    complaint about the slider malfunctioning.
If you are bored with the 9810 then yeah get the 9860
    the bigger screen is nice.

I did not hear about the bbx 10 delay. What a bummer. Looks like the 9860 might be coming soon though. After maybe 3 months or so the 9810 keyboard seems to be getting loose. There is much more play in it than normal I guess. I am happy with the phone but bored with it. I need updates and atleast some themes lol. Was hoping for bbx 10 but not looking to wait that long..

It's a good time to go for the 9850/9860. The 7.1 update is sounding amazing in the reviews. Improved keyboard and overall speed. I'm looking forward to it. The phone is great now so this is just a bonus to me. I think it's the best companion phone for the Playbook too.

A funny thing happened to me today. I went to ATT to check out upgrade options and the salesman actually went out of his way to recommend the Torch 9850. I was a little stunned when he said it was the phone he really wanted-mostly because he said he was an iphone user, currently on the ip4s. He said he was getting tired of iOS after 4 years with it. I understand why he liked the 9850-it was surprisingly great and blazing fast. If this is RIMs all touch phone NOW, I can't wait to see what London ia like!

I think that going to a Blackberry OS7 device now can be a good thing, it will take time until you will see BB10 device in the market and until they will be here you will have much time to enjoy your Blackberry OS7 device.

You can get the Blackberry Torch 9860 or the new Blackberry 9380 as your new full-touch Blackberry phone and sell your slider.

Did he show you a 9850 or a 9860? 9850 is a vzm phone. He should have showed you a 9860. The only reason I'm asking is I was told by a salesman and saleswoman that BlackBerrys only run the android os.
I haven't played with a 9860 yet and I'll have it in next couple days. I do agree w/ you. If its have as good as I've read Rim is still in the game.

I'm not really privy to the specifics of the 98x0 titles. It was at ATT though and it was the touchscreen Torch. I was really impressed by how responsive it was and how fast the browser/media playback was. I don't really care for all-touch phones but this was really deluxe.
