I am having problems tethering my 9630 up with my Windows XP laptop over bluetooth to use as a dialup connection. Here is what I have done:
1. Paired the computer and the phone - This worked and created a "Standard 33600 bps Modem (COM40)" DUNS connection on my computer.
2. I entered <phonenumber>@vzw3g.com as the username, vzw as the password, and #777 as the phone number. (I am on Verizon)
When I try and connect it opens the port and I see a little "communication" icon appear next to the bluetooth icon on the BB. Then it says "Dialing #777" and nothing happens. Eventually I get "Error 692" from Windows.
