I got a 8800 just to see whether or not it suited me. It did. Now I wanna get a 8900 as it has wifi (my 8800) doesnt.
I wanna get the maps. Are there maps for Ireland and UK?
If I use my upgrade do the maps come with the "box" or they bought seperately as a app.
Are the one's on e-bay generally ok.
    Thanks

Google maps is a free app and will have maps for everywhere.
I like it better than the BB maps app because I also use Google Latitude.

Buying a Berry off eBay is like buying anything else off eBay. Buy from a trusted seller, use PayPal... etc.

Make SURE if you buy a used Berry that the previous owner has released the PIN from their provider. If the PIN is not released, you will be unable to connect to BIS (the BlackBerry network).

The 8900 is a perfect choice for you, as it has GPS and WiFi.
As TomRay said, Google maps is GREAT. It's free, gets regular updates, and has access to EVERYTHING on Google.

You'll need the pin# from the previous owner and then contact RIM.
