8350i Bluetooth Very Strange
- Greetings all,
I have a very strange problem with my 8350i and Bluetooth transfers.
I can 100% reliably send files to my laptop (XPSP3, running MS Bluetooth stack).
However, I can also 100% never successfully send files from the PC to the BB.
I select "Receive using Bluetooth" in the Media application, the transfer starts and I get ~ 6k transferred before it stalls indefinitely.
I say 6k because I've tried it with numerous files (mp3, jpg and xls) of various sizes and the transfer % always stops at the equivalent of ~ 6k (anywhere from 2% on a large file to 27% on a small file).
The same computer will reliably send files to an i465 (Moto Clutch), I've tried files up to ~ 300k with no issues, so I've got to believe its the BB.
Any thoughts? Please.
BTW - I'm running the latest (313) OS for the 8350i.01-05-10 12:41 AMLike 0 - Update (sort of)
This must be some artifact of an incomplete driver uninstall. I had the ThinkPad BT stack installed initially, but uninstalled and installed the MS Stack because that is the only thing that supposedly works with the BB.
I turned off the wireless (WiFi and BT) on the laptop and installed a Jabra A320s (also a Broadcom BT device) USB dongle, paired it with the phone and everything works as expected. I can now transfer files from the PC to the BB without any problems.
I removed the Jabra and re-enabled the internal BT - fails just like before.
Next step is to re-install windows on a spare drive and see if its something corrupted on the drive I'm using now (registry most likely).
At least I'm secure in the knowledge that its NOT the phone at fault.01-06-10 02:48 PMLike 0
