That depends if you're getting a lot of emails with attachments. Regular just text mails though that's a lot. Thing is that 50 mb will also count towards your surfing an other things that use data like bb messenger.

With Verizon I have unlimited data usage which is really 6gb. On average I only use like 40 mb or so a month using regular email, browsing cb, and bb messenger.

    80% is plain text.

rest are html things with images

attachment, maybe 5 times a month max.

total about 40 emails a day.

I dont use IM programmes on my phone.

I think you would be ok with 50mb unless these images you're getting are like 1mb a piece so you might want to go for a higher plan. You could use up 50 mb real quick if you're receiving images that are 1mb or close.

When an email has loads of those silly images.

Like an Amazon or eBay advert.

does the BB automaticly get them, or do you have to ask for it to show them?

I'm the bb admin for my company, the average data usage per user per month is roughly 10 megs.. now there are users who go higher and lower, but the average is 10 megs.

myself, I use Viigo, BB msngr, and get like 200+ emails a day and in a few weeks time, only used 14 megs worth..

Its better than the poor Orange data plan (6mb) I have upgraded and have the 30mb for an extra 8 a month. I mainly use web browser via wi-fi so 36 mb is ok for me for email (around 20 per day) and texting on bb messenger every day

It really depends on your usage. Your service provider can track your monthly usages over time and offer some suggestions. I needed the unlimited data plan and my wife does not. We both have the unlimited plan just for the security against overage cost. My teenager ran up a $700.00 cell phone bill(w/ extended nights/weekends) ----once.

Yesterday Orange gave me 250mB/month GPRS data for 6.38 +VAT extra on my account. Not tested it yet or seen a bill but seems like allowances are improving
