When is the BB Curve 8320 going 3G? With T-Mobile now. Got tired of AT&T's high prices.

Interesting. I was told by T-Mobile they were adding or updating the network in October 2008.

They are updating the Network to 3G, it does not mean that your phone supports 3G. You would need a phone that supports 3G. Which the curve does not.

Even if the TMobile network is upgraded to have 3G (which it is in the process), it does not mean that the devices will support it!

There will be no 3G Curve on TMobile! Heck, the Curve 8900 (Javelin) isn't even going to have 3G

Yeah I can confirm Tmobile is rolling out 3G because I have used it here in Phoenix. Sadly there is no 3G chip in the Curve yet. Ya never know what RIM may have up their sleeve.

I still have a small glimmer of hope that the Javelin......Curve 8900 will have a 3G chip for T-Mo in it......looking not likely though.

Kind of sucks though to have such a fast phone on a 3g capable network that needs to use old technology.

The only curve coming out will be the Javelin. This doesn't have 3g yet, but who knows. I was told it was to small to find wifi, gps and 3g antennas/radios.

I would gladly ditch GPS in favor of 3G! Or just make it a little taller (or wider)...

Yeah, 3G is awsome! Now I'm just waiting for a good 3G phone to come out on T-Mobile USA... I'm glad I live in a T-Mobile 3G area.

T-Mobile is rolling out 3G in October along with the new G1 with the Goolge O/S. They also plan on adding some new 3G phones between now and Xmas.

I find it unacceptable for them to say that. I had a nokia 6120 as my second phone... it was almost half the size of a pearl! and it was 3.5G & GPS. No wifi, but like i said it was almost half the size of a pearl.
My e71 is half the size of my bold, looks about the same size as the javelin and it does everything the bold does, if not better in some aspects....

They are already "rolling" it out... October is when all 27 markets are LIVE with 3G, well the ones they promised. Some markets are already LIVE with 3G.

    That's bull ... .... .. -

There's not a significant difference between Javelin and Bold as far as antenna space is concerned. Besides, 3G and cellular bands almost certainly use the same antenna, most of the frequencies are shared.

So the problem is not with T-Mobile as much as it's with BB. They need to begin making 3G devices.
