Tour, Bold, Storm 2, and the 9330 Curve I believe are all CDMA EVDO REV A devices on Verizon's network in the US, meaning you get 3g coverage on the Verizon network. If you mean using them on a GSM network (on the world phones) in the US (ATT, etc) then you will only get 2g coverage in the US.

WOW! guess talking to verizon people at some locations is a waste.
Is wifi necessary if 3g available? I am buying used BB on ebay as verizon contract not up yet and not sure android is for me
For me wifi is nearly useless since I'm not anywhere that has a wifi hotspot on a regular basis, and don't live in an area where I can get broadband internet at home.
Verizon has a pretty good 3g network, and I don't think you would really miss wifi, at last I don't.

The commission driven employees at the stores will sometimes say anything to make a sale.
WiFi on a Verizon Blackberry only makes data speeds slightly faster (example: internet browsing). You also need to be in a WiFi hotspot to use it. WiFi has zero affect on your ability to make or take calls and definitely isn't necessary. It's more of a luxury.

Oh. There had been talk of that being the first 3g curve, so I assumed it meant rev a. I could easily be mistaken though. I just figured RIM couldn't be so lame as to release 3 generations of a device which the original Curve (the 8330) should have been rev a capable but weren't.
