    As you can see title there are black clouds of Android on BlackBerry, hopefully 2017 bring some good tidings of joy with OS 10.3.4 as said by chen in india.

    Being a BB10 user gave a good 5 month try to Priv but bored like hell. Priv has good hardware but Android is stupid. Its like moving on in relationship but at the same time coming back to your Ex.

    Don't see why they can't produce a dual boot device. That way they can offer the best of both worlds.

    I get what you are saying... with Android, everything just works.

    Takes all the fun out all the tinkering most of us had to do with BB10 to make it a working solution...

    Installing LEAK OS to hopefully get fixes for different bugs. Back in the early days it was almost every couple of weeks we had something new.
    Learning how to sideload BAR files back in the early days.
    Then having to convert APKs to BAR files with a developer key back then.
    To being able to install apks directly.;
    Then SNAP and Cobalts Hacks that allowed direct access to Google Play.
    But still needing to patch some apps with Cobalt's tools.

    Yes it is very boring here in the Android world.

    BB10.4..... haven't heard of any plans for that "level" of update (new plans anyway, two years ago we taught the Passport might have 10.4 and be the first 64Bit device). 10.3.4 is the second of the two promised security updates.

    Never had to do any of those things with my BB10 devices. They always did what I wanted them to do.

    Side loading is additional capability! You do if you are bit techy or you don't have to. There are three parts of every smartphone;
    1-Hardware, Design and built Blackberry Five star(*****)
    2-OS Blackberry Five star(*****)
    3- Apps Blackberry Five star(***)
    I admit there are lack of apps with OS10 but OS is still nothing to compare with. IMHO lack of apps blackberry should need to be focused rest is super fine. See it was my money I bought Priv on launch date, can't satisfy me sold out then again after 2 moths I bought Priv (because no new OS10 phone) but again I am selling it for Passport. Leaks, its upto you if you want to install or not (God I miss those days)

    Regarding Apps

    I am not against apps but too many of it is just a waste of time. I quit Facebook because its cruel. You have 500 FB friends and yet in difficult time 1 out of 500 don't want to help you. Its becoming phony, leave "real" people for 500 phony friends. On father's day you are all busy on Fb to update/read status and your real father is may be waiting to see your glance.

    Depends on how you use it... me, I've just got my family and a few close friends. Still talk to them all, but it's nice to see what they are upto on a day to day basis. For some of us our family has moved away and FB or Instagram are really the only way to stay in touch on a regular basis.

    Yeah if you get caught up in the "need" to make everyone your friend and thus are getting 100's of post a day.... most you care nothing about, I can see how that would be a waste.

    Not my experience. Want an app? Search for it, try and filter out the games even though you specified "apps", then install...see it ask for your contacts even though it's a flashlight app. Delete... repeat 10 times.

    It isnt perfect on BB10, but at least I have 1 email app, 1 browser (by default), a "Pictures" app that doesn't insist on uploading photos to google by default...

    Dream about 2018 when they are sure to come back....

    Some people get "stuck" in time... hairstyles, clothes, makeup, even technology. There are some here that want BlackBerry to make a new BBOS device..... Even once Chen admits that they have no plans for BB10, many will hope and speculate that BlackBerry could license and abandoned project like BB10 to another OEM.
