i just wondering why BB give easier way to install .apk directly from phone with the leak 10.2.1 but no for the native .bar?
need to turn on development mode and plug to laptop ect......
yes there is an app to do that(install .bar) if i'm not mistaken, but at least i prefer the way that we can install .bar like .apk now directly from file manager.

We are becoming an android nation now.

Weird things happen, I opened a pdf attachment from an email and Qpdf started. I downloaded a zip file with the browser and ghost commander opened.

because most. Bar files are in the blackberry world app. We don't have a market place for android so direct apk is the only method for that other than side loading via chrome.

    +1

I was thinking about this the other day too. I'm sure it wouldnt be hard for them to allow direct .bar installs, but there is no need to. If anything, it would just be shooting themselves in the foot. They want as many people as possible using bb world, so giving people the option of not would be a counter productive decision.

I was thinking about this too few days ago. I agree there should be the exact same method available for .bar files

I might be possible to do this from a 3. part app via WiFi/development mode: The app could send the .bar file to the device via HTTP - just like the Chrome plugin.

I don't really see the usage for it though as .bar files should come form BBW.
