I'm going to Starbucks to download the upgrade and plan on sideloading the Google Play store on my phone. Q10. Will I have any side effects on my phone if I do this and will it damage my phone in any way?

I have seen 0 problems been running the latest leak for a week. The apps actually run Faster and smoother than they did previously being bar files.

Are you installing the leak? As long as you have enough time to do it, you should be okay. It took me a long time to download the files before using the autoloader. The install does not take too long. Just make sure to not disconnect your phone until after it reboots.

Yes I'm installing the leak. I wasn't aware that it took some time to download. I saw a youtube video and they made it look easy.

Yes, installing the leak itself doesn't take too long, but as the others have said, it does take some time to download. It's almost a gigabyte in size, so you can imagine how long it might take on a slower connection. I've used it on my Z30 for a little over a week now with no significant problems. I would suggest rebooting your device a couple of times after the install.

For me because my device is full of apps it takes 45 mins to backup, 1gb download for leak 15 mins to install. Then the worst restoring all my data can take 2.5+ hours so I usually do this before bed so that the restore just takes the night. On the other hand I've had a friend do it in 1 hour backup load and restore he has like no apps on his device so depends on your storage usage.

It actually depends a lot on your computer too. On my home computer, it takes a long time to backup and restore, just like the poster above said. I used my mom's laptop one day while i was at her house to do a backup and restore on her Z10 and it happened so much faster that I wasn't sure it actually completed correctly. I thought maybe it was just her phone having different things loaded so I tried it on mine with similar results. I don't know if it's an issue with the chipset or the host controller, but her computer smokes mine running anything to do with Link. FWIW I've tried it on both the USB 3.0 and the USB 2.0 ports on my computer and they were both just as slow. Her laptop doesn't even have USB 3.0

Snap a sideloaded app a dev made connects to play store been using it for awhile and it's awesome. Works only on 10.2.1.1xxx however.
