Absolutely! And I will look at the ads too! Hell, I might even subscribe to every channel that has them. Since advertisers will pay BBM/BBRY more money for the higher number of people who see them. Go BBRY! Make some money!

I only use BBM as a message app. I dont use video chat, and whilst I started a Channel I found it took too much power so deleted it.

It would be nice if by now there was a site of previous app versions that those who wished to could roll back to a previous version....as there is for BBOS....and I would do that with BBM.

I certainly wouldn't upgrade to a BBM with adverts etc on. But that's just my preference.

I will update the second that I can.
Small advertising, which I probably wont see, is only good news for the company that I desperately want to survive.

Yes. The advertising is not overbearing, and if helps BlackBerry generate some much needed revenue, I'm all for it.

Not only would I upgrade, I would hope BlackBerry forces everyone to upgrade. You know "Please get the latest version before you can continue to use this app." Why? Because I believe that some people have a misconception as to what's coming and really wouldn't care/notice if it did come suddenly behind the scenes. Plus, BB could use all the revenue it can get.

I will absolutely update my BBM and I will also buy the stickers just to try it out. I love the Channels and I'm definitely looking forward to the targeted advertisements. These ads are controlled unlike what we face each day we turn on our television.

You need to read more about how the advertising on BBM is going to work. It will have little impact in use of BBM.

Yes, the features posts will be in the updates tab so you will see one every once in a while when checking them, and featured channels will have a special space in the featured channels space that's already there, so this won't be intrusive in your BBM experience.

It will be good if this becomes profitable so we have the BBM development secured, I don't wan't to lose BBM and if it gets financially self sufficient it will be there for a long time, now is draining money out of BBRY.

Ads are non-intrusive and BlackBerry also makes money from them.
