    I am having problem with BBM which I dont knw is a ''feature '' of BlackBerry where I get notification even when I m talking to same person whenever I get a new message.. why does it have to ring and remind me that I have got message from same person with whom I m talking.. so is there a way to remove this app so that can be reinstalled and I have already tried wiping data and all that.
    I dont want to disable the notifications universally..just with same person chatting I dont wana ringing

    It doesn't matter what you try to do to BBM. If you are chatting with someone and they send you a message, you will get the LED, or VIBE or RING (as you say). That's called notification and that's how the app operates.

    Think about it! When I chat with someone, I put my phone down in between messages to finish something I'm doing or to work or cook or whatever. The notification lets you know the person has answered you. The screen goes dark. I don't stand there staring at the screen waiting for an answer. I need notifications.

    But not when u r using phone and its in ur hand no other app works like that.. if u r currently in chat than no app rings for every message unless its from different user.. its annoying..

    And btw BBM for android or iphone doesnt behave like that its with BlackBerry only

    But I will not know about any notification then..

    Is it really a feature or I m the only one having this issue..

    Your probably the only one who has a problem with it but set the led to a specific color and when it's blinking you'll know when a BBM mess came in

    Try this: turn off "Notify During Calls" in Notifications->Profile.

    @OP,
    you're not the only one experiencing that...i will hope a future update will fix that oversight...its a general BB10 issue and i trust BlackBerry BBM unit are aware of it already

    Buy some NFC tags. Put one in your pocket and use it to change notification settings for BBM when you are in a long conversation. Just an idea

    I hate it too!!
    Whatsapp handels it very good! Maybe BBM in near future too...
    But they will give us some new stickers instead of real updates..:/

    Leave it in silent mode till you won't mind the phone ringing again

    hmm strange,ive not had this issue with my Z10 or maybe i just havent noticed
    i usually sneak open BBM chats etc on my phone when the first notif comes itself(in class,at red signals while driving etc)
    will cross check and tell you
