    wait, wait...doesn't the playbook only have the gingerbread runtime? Does BBM 2.0 working on gingerbread now?

    You already can have a video chat between PB and BB10 devices without PB running BBM. Doing so, it uses the BBM video chat interface on the BB10 device. And now with BBM 2.0, Android and iOS users have a audio chat option. I think that's what OP means and I'd welcome it, too.
